Enjoy Marin Center’s Superb Events throughout 2014
Welcome to our 43rd year of world-class entertainment!
Marin Center Presents’ must-see global highlights for the coming months include Ireland’s remarkable musical ambassadors The Chieftains; tap maestro Savion Glover; the spectacular Haifa Symphony Orchestra of Israel; and the acclaimed drummers of TAO from the mountains of Japan.
If music legends are your thing, mark your calendars for the Bay Area’s Boz Scaggs, blues star B.B. King, and folk legend Arlo Guthrie.
Feeling the winter blues? Need a laugh? Comedy reigns with Bill Cosby, Bill Maher and Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood.
Alasdair Neale leads the Marin Symphony during its 61st season, Fun. Seriously. January’s American Dream program features Bay Area personality Noah Griffin as narrator.
Marin Center offers the perfect blend of community events and world-class performing arts, with traditional and innovative programming for the entire community. We offer a wide variety of fresh events each season, all at affordable prices and with free parking.
This year’s Marin County Fair, The Happiest Fair on Earth, returns over the July 4 weekend. Preview the Fair’s exciting attractions and concerts on page 22. This 73rd edition promises more family fun than ever before, including the Chinese Circus of Beijing, Puppets and Players Little Theatre, top Bay Area pop and rock artists, and the biggest and best fair fireworks show ever. Marin County’s own Huey Lewis and the News opens the festivities on July 2!
The Marin County Fair is most successful when you participate and share your talents. We love creativity and imagination! Enter one (or more) of the many contest categories, including new ones like Build a Ferris Wheel and Beach Ball Art. See page 26 to learn more about our new competitions and returning favorites.
